International Travel

All non-Canadian citizens must present proof of citizenship to enter Canada. An acceptable form of identification is a valid passport.

Passport Requirements When Traveling by Land, Sea or Air
As of January 31, 2008, all Canadian and U.S citizens traveling by land or sea will be required to present a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license and a birth certificate or a citizenship card; OR for youth under 18, a birth certificate; OR a valid passport. As of January 23, 2007, all Canadian and U.S citizens traveling by air between the United States and Canada are required to present a valid passport.
