PLCs and the IB Learner Profile

In order for schools to encourage students to develop new ways of thinking for a new world, the faculty must first address the necessary change in school culture to create a sucessful IB programme. School improvement requires that teachers change what they think, say, and do. This workshop promotes the use of the IB Learner Profile as a means to develop a professional working community.

The Art of Learning and TOK

As part of a professional development day in 2008, teachers at West Morris Mendham High School read Josh Waitzken's book, The Art of Learning, and attended a presentation by the author. Recognizing the connection between TOK and the IB Learner Profile, it was proposed to use the book as the culminating experience in senior TOK classes.
