In order for schools to encourage students to develop new ways of thinking for a new world, the faculty must first address the necessary change in school culture to create a sucessful IB programme. School improvement requires that teachers change what they think, say, and do. This workshop promotes the use of the IB Learner Profile as a means to develop a professional working community.

Join IBIS administration and Coordinator Help Desk Staff from IB Cardiff as they demonstrate administration tasks on IBIS, carried out by the coordinator, which will include candidate registrations, IA/PG entry, setting up teacher accounts, and submitting other information.

The University of Tulsa (TU) received 60 full IB Diploma students in August 2007.

Come join members of the PYP staff in a presentation and conversation. This session will review changes to the PYP that have occurred over the past year, those that are coming in the future, and offer an opportunity to ask burning questions about the programme.

This session introduces new ideas for fostering creativity that help students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Many IB schools struggle to educate their teachers on the importance of differentiating methodology to meet the needs of various student learning styles, overlooking the foundation of the IB curriculum–the IB Learner Profile. However, differentiation and the IB Learner Profile blend beautifully together–a marriage between classroom strategies and underlying goals.

As part of a professional development day in 2008, teachers at West Morris Mendham High School read Josh Waitzken's book, The Art of Learning, and attended a presentation by the author. Recognizing the connection between TOK and the IB Learner Profile, it was proposed to use the book as the culminating experience in senior TOK classes.
